This is my favorite album.
Here are some reviews from Amazon about "The Debut" it was released on April 12th, 2019:
"Jackie Evancho has been very open about her struggles transforming from a young girl into a young woman regardless of her magnificent talent. She has chosen this album as a debut of sorts, redifining herself as an independent woman using songs from modern Broadway shows to highlight her new maturity. From the moment I bought this CD (yeah, I'm a Luddite) I played it over and over again. Arriving for a job interview where I had to deliver a 45 minute presentation, I found nervousness getting the better of me. I started playing The Debut, moving to "No day but today", closed my eyes and absorbed the music. I got the job and still love the CD which I consider to be Jackie's best work yet."
"Once again, Jackie selected beautiful songs and performed them wonderfully. The orchestration always compliments the feel and message of the song, and she does a great job with her voice to invoke such feelings of beauty and inspiration to uplift my soul and cheer my mind and heart."
"Delightful CD of Broadway covers. Well Jackie was so amazing as a child phenom, her mature voice is even better. Love every track on this CD."
"In another major shift in singing style this album concentrates entirely on Broadway songs. On most of the songs Jackie shows she can adapt her voice to sing just about anything. My favorite songs on the album are A Million Dreams, Burn, I'm Not That Girl, She Used To Be Mine, Another Day/No Day But Today, & Falling Slowly. But they're all very well done. Even her reprise of Somewhere, which may not be universally accepted by Streisand fans since they view it as her song only, but Jackie does a great job with it and adds her imprint on it with the finishing note. This girl has an incredible voice."
"This is one of the most beautiful albums I have ever heard. I admit I have been crazy about Jackie ever since she exploded onto the scene way back in her AGT debut, but this is not bias. This is total appreciation of one of the most beautiful voices in the world, the sweetness and richness of which have only increased as the years have gone by. Her perfect control, her expression, the emotion and atmosphere she breathes into every song she performs, all contribute to a thoroughly breathtaking and enchanting listening experience. Do NOT miss out on this album!"
"Jackie Evancho has done it again!!! This just may be her best yet! Jackie proves once again that she is the voice of a millennia. No other voice today compares to hers. And there are many great young female singers today. But they will be chasing Jackie Evancho for years! Some may do better with sales or make more money, but quality, no! Jackie has her detractors but that's because they have no faith that someone like Jackie could exist. But thank God that she does!"
"What's left to be said about Jackie Evancho? Yet another five-star CD release showcasing her phenomenal vocal talents, this time in the contemporary Broadway genre. I wasn't sure if "phenomenal" was even the right word, so I googled it: The results? "Phenomenal = Exceptional, extraordinary, remarkable, outstanding, amazing, astonishing, astounding, stunning, staggering, marvelous, magnificent, wonderful, sensational, breathtaking, miraculous, singular." Yup, that's Jackie."
"There seems to be no limit to this young ladies versatility !!! In this, her newest album, she covers contemporary Broadway show tunes in a way that only she can do. I purchased five of these albums to send to Family members, and hope that they enjoy the music even half as much as I do. Once again, Jackie is phenomenal !!!"
"Wow!! I received this today. Jackie owns these songs like she created them. Her voice is spectacular. Leads off with the single “Burn” from Hamilton. Now you think it goes down from there? No! Jackie continues to up the ante with each track. My favorite is “Somewhere” from West Side Story. Buy this. You will not be disappointed."
